Solid, yet it contours to irregular surfaces such as bony prominences and small joints for accurate transmission. Disposable gel pad eliminates the risk of cross-contamination in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures. Cushions sensitive areas for comfortable scanning and requires no gel except in prolonged procedures.
