Jaegar Eye Chart

The Plastic Jaeger Eye Chart is a durable and laminated plastic chart used to measure visual acuity and determine near vision. It is printed on both sides with paragraphs of text in decreasing font size, with the smallest text at the top of the chart. The patient sits at a distance of 14 inches from the chart and reads the smallest text they can see clearly. The number of the paragraph that the patient can read clearly is their Jaeger score, which is a measure of their near vision.
